Dot gain

The extent of which ink dots spread on the print media.

Dimensional Stability

This term describes the reaction of the paper when exposed to moisture or humidity changes, e.g. during the offset printing process. Paper with high dimensional stability will keep its dimensional structure relatively unchanged in the printing process. As a result, the paper does not show ghosting in the multicolour printing process.
