M-real Digital imaging announces the release of its free Inkjet Printing brochure Created to inform and educate all inkjet users, "Technology, Inks and Papers for inkjet printing" is the latest guide from a company with an ongoing commitment to educating the market.
When inkjet printing was first introduced, quality was generally unsatisfactory. Since then, developments in the technology as well as the associated inks and substrates have seen printed results improve considerably. The increased variety and improved quality in hardware and consumables, has also added to the confusion surrounding the technology, leaving many users unaware of how to get the best possible printed results.
Boasting one of Europe’s most comprehensive ranges of digital papers, M-real Digital imaging has taken the step off allying some of the lack of knowledge, with the introduction of "Technology, Inks and Papers for inkjet printing". The guide has been designed to target best practice techniques in an increasingly misunderstood sector and enable operators to improve the quality of their prints.
Helga Zollner-Croll, Marketing Manager, M-real Digital imaging, comments, "When we were developing our extensive range of inkjet papers, it was clear that there was a great deal of misunderstanding regarding inkjet technology. We see the brochure as a support tool for anyone involved in the sector, from merchants through to end-users. Hopefully, the guide provides everything you’ll ever need to know about inkjet printing."
Helga continues, "The guide itself is aimed at all levels of inkjet users, from the home user to the professional user. Whether you’re printing holiday photos or important office documents, you want to get the best results possible. With the help of this guide and our specially developed range of papers, there’s no reason why perfect results can’t be achieved every time."
One of the brochure’s key sections provides a comprehensive list of problem solving pointers. These points are provided in language accessible for all users, not just technically minded printers.
Other topics covered include accounts of the different attributes presented by available consumables; for instance varieties of ink that can be used, including information about water, dye, solvent and wax based inks. Substrates themselves and their storage and handling techniques are investigated, as are the varying ink transfer technologies in operation.
Also detailed are trends in the different markets in which inkjet is active ranging from such well known sectors as SOHO and large format where it enjoys dominance, to emerging areas such as medical imaging and 3D printing.
Helga concludes, "We see the introduction of this brochure as another investment in the inkjet market. We not only want to offer the most comprehensive range of inkjet papers, but also provide our customers with a step-by-step guide which answers any questions they have, before they have them."
The inkjet printing guide is a comprehensive study detailing a range of issues affecting the whole inkjet arena. The 20 page, full colour brochure is available free of charge across Europe; initially in English - German and Italian version will follow.
